From Germany to South Korea

My connection to the international art scene – from participating artist to jury member.

GermanyGeoje, South Korea

My artistic work thrives on a tension: the precision from my training as a glass and porcelain painter meets a spontaneous, gestural painting style. This attitude also accompanies me on the international stage.

In 2023, I was invited for the first time to exhibit a painting at an international exhibition in South Korea. Three years later, it became more: in 2026, I am not only participating again as an artist but have also been invited as a jury member, selecting artists for participation myself.

"I perceive this task as a great responsibility – and as a wonderful opportunity to provide other artists with an international platform."

An international exhibition on Geoje

The exhibition takes place at the Haegeumgang Theme Museum on Geoje Island in South Korea. From October 1 to December 25, 2026, the museum will showcase works by more than 400 artists from around the world – precisely this international exchange makes the exhibition particularly exciting for me.

My selection: diverse artists, diverse styles

In my selection, diversity of styles and perspectives was particularly important to me. I have chosen nine artists:

  • Alex Ochkal
  • Annamarie Heinz
  • Gulnara Heinz
  • Hanna Dujmović
  • Wladimir Heinz
  • Svitlana Nestiurina
  • Natascha Fel
  • Susanne Schorr
  • Star Smart

My own work: "The Invitation"

Unique hand-painted canvas painting – modern original artwork as stylish wall decoration.

This year, I am also represented with my own work: "The Invitation", 120 × 80 cm, acrylic on canvas, 2026 – one of my personal favorites.

At its center is a figure with wide-open arms, surrounded by a dynamic world of colors and shadows – precisely constructed and at the same time broken up by spontaneous, gestural elements, just like in almost all of my works. In her hand, she holds a puppet, a reference to masks and the roles we play in life.

"The Invitation" is an invitation to look more closely – at the painting and at the artist's unique signature behind it.

This year, I was personally invited to South Korea. For organizational reasons, I will not be making the journey myself – my artistic presence there, as an artist and as a jury member, remains unaffected. From Germany to South Korea – perhaps only the beginning of an even longer artistic journey.
