"The most valuable journeys happen in the in-between – between memory and departure."
He wades from the past into the future. Behind him, the Brandenburg Gate and the Watchtower fade – symbols of a divided history. Before him, the TV Tower rises in turquoise light – Berlin's future.
The bear is more than just a city symbol. It represents the courage to walk – through water, through time, through uncertainty. Every step takes effort. The water carries the burden of memory and simultaneously reflects the light of what is to come.
I worked in thick, expressive layers with palette knife and brush. Earthy browns and ochres – the weight of the past – meet vibrant turquoise and white – the promise of what is to come. The city blurs. The path opens up. The bear remains present.
This work is for collectors who understand Berlin's soul. Who know that the most valuable journeys happen in the in-between – between memory and new beginnings.
This work is right for you if you
- You love Berlin – its history, its courage, its transformation
- You know and appreciate transitions in life.
- Are you looking for expressive art with deep symbolic content?
- You want a work that tells more than it shows.

What your painting brings with it
Homemade Stretcher Frame
Every stretcher frame is built by us from high-quality spruce or coniferous wood – stable, durable, and tailored to the respective image size. For large formats, we reinforce the frame with additional cross braces and metal brackets at the corners, ensuring that the artwork hangs straight even after years.
Suspension
The sides are fully painted - no frame needed. Smaller sizes come with a sawtooth hanger, sizes 40 cm and up with professional gallery wire, ready to hang.
Without clear coat – intentionally so
We deliberately do not varnish our artworks. Varnish would obscure the lively acrylic structure and yellows over time. The surface remains exactly as it was painted - with all its texture, depth, and vibrancy.
Certificate of authenticity
Every work comes with a certificate of authenticity from Heinz Atelier – with a golden embossed seal, a photo of the painting, and the artist's personal signature. For commissioned works, the collector may choose a title for the painting, which will be immortalized on the certificate.
Signature & Study Logo
Each painting bears the artist's personal signature on the front. On the back, the Heinz Atelier studio logo is additionally applied – as a mark of origin and a promise of quality.
Shipping & Special Features
Each painting is carefully packed in eco-friendly paper packaging – with edge protectors and cushioning – and shipped insured via DHL. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your package is on its way.
