A Berlin bear wades through the water – between past and future. Behind him, the Brandenburg Gate and watchtower blur, while before him, the TV Tower glows in the cool turquoise of the night. The water reflects light, movement, and memory all at once.
Painted with acrylic in thick, expressive layers of palette knife and brushwork, earthy brown and ocher tones meet bright turquoise and white. This creates an atmosphere between gravity and new beginnings, stillness and movement.
The bear appears determined yet pensive – like a figure searching for its way through change. Precisely this tension makes the work a homage to Berlin and to all those moments that lie somewhere between memory and a fresh start.
