Amidst cool blue tones, the polar bear rises, calm and unfazed, its watchful gaze leaving room for individual thoughts. Instead of a classic landscape, I work with free color fields and loose brushstrokes, creating a contrast between the realistic polar bear and the abstract background. Gold pigments in the lower area reflect the light differently depending on the viewing angle, thus the painting captures the silent power of the Arctic.
