This painting was created over several months. Whenever there was leftover paint from other works, it found its place here. I don't throw away paint; every trace became part of this canvas. The many layers and structures constantly create new forms. Sometimes I see a wolf, sometimes individual lines remind me of the legs of a running horse. I often discover something new myself. I am particularly fascinated by the colors and structures that overlap and interact with each other. Depending on where the gaze lingers, the image changes and tells a different story.
Photos can only hint at texture, depth, and color brilliance – in reality, this painting has an even stronger impact.
Handmade
The visible canvas structure and the individual application of paint are part of the creative process. Light, material, and brushstrokes give the work a depth that can only be found in the original painting.
